Installation rules
The self-acting steam trap must only be installed in the horizontal position of the pipe's axis in the way that the steam trap's cover is as shown on the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 oriented downwards. The cover's axis deviation of the steam trap from the riser should not surpass 5? in any direction. The steam trap should be fixed rigidly to minimize vibrations of the pipe on which it has been installed. Figure 2 shows the permanent fixing to the supporting structure of the drainage system of the steam pipeline. Medium flow direction should be in accordance with the arrow drawn on the steam trap's body. Generally speaking steam traps should be installed in the lowest points of installation, on the pipe lines with a drop in direction of the steam trap and before every ascending part of the pipe line.
