Cross section

1) Standard: galvanically zinc-plated forged-steel body with flanges DN15- DN50.

Options:

  • body and cover made of acid-resistant steel
  • chromium or nickel with a galvanic coating.


2) A free-float open/shut mechanism - made of acid-resistant steel, corrosion and abrasion resistant (thermally hardened).

3) Vent hole which ensures the continuous discharge of air and other gases during start-up and at steam temperature.

4) Acid-resistant steel float bucket, water hammer and crush resistant (without a knit line).

5) Screw or drain valve (optional).

6) Cut-off valve placed in the upper part of the trap

  • which ensures the most dirt-resistance of all the steam traps.


7) Chrome steel needle valve, hardened (~60HRC), item-by-item ground/polished?.

8) Check ball valve (optional).

9) Steam trap operates without any loss of the steam -flow (live steam). Steam does not pass through the water seal.

10) Large volume contamination/dirt sediment trap.

FEATURES

  1. It is distinguished by its high operational precision and simple construction.
  2. The most dirt-resistant type of steam-trap. The cover also acts as a sediment trap, the closure is in the upper part.
  3. Able to operate at a maximum back pressure of up to 99%.
  4. Self - venting continuous air elimination. Air and carbon dioxide (CO2) elimination at both start-up and at steam temperature.
  5. Excellent operation at vast pressure/temperature fluctuations (within the given differential pressure) as well as when the quantity of the condensate varies.
  6. Operation without loss of "live steam" (steam-flow) - due to the water seal.
  7. Operation without condensate swelling - it discharges condensate immediately (maximum heat transfer rate for dewatering systems).
  8. High corrosion resistance - all internal elements made of chrome and nickel steel, the internal and external surfaces are galvanically  covered by zinc film.
  9. High water hammer resistance (an open float bucket).
  10. In-line maintenance/repair possible.
  11. Long life due to a very hard seat and needle as well as the low shutting force <1[N].
  12. In the case of a steam trap breaking down there will always be a constant flow because the bucket remains in the lower part of the steam trap.
  13. Steam traps made of forged steel are resistant to freezing. If frozen, with the steam/condensate being shut off, there is no tear of the body but only screw unsealing.
  14. Replacement of the penetration nozzle in the steam trap is possible .
